Job Purpose 
With a participative management style, provide leadership, planning, coordination, development and coaching of the multi-skilled, multi-disciplined Mechanical Reliability Teams. The incumbent is responsible for the site-wide Mechanical Reliability, Maintenance, Construction processes at a level that achieves maximum safe economical reliability of operating equipment, and its related process systems. The incumbent is charged to ensure Company Site Maintenance services and Site Contractor Contract Services are cost effective, reliable, and in compliance with effected regulations and are performed by highly qualified employees.

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, and HSE standards.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Coach, mentor and lead the Mechanical Reliability Teams in maintaining and continuously upgrading the PPM programs and providing stewardship for the Mechanical Integrity program site wide.
•    Primary contact and PPR for the management of the Site Contract Maintenance & Construction contract. Ensures the effective utilization and cost control of Residential contractor services.
•    Audit the Mechanical Reliability Teams contributions, performance, and integration to ensure the business needs are being met and we are in compliance with Government regulations, industry and company standards.
•    Monitor the technical growth and provide necessary training to meet the needs Mechanical Reliability Teams and assign resources to meet the needs of the site and priorities.
•    Audit and consult on Root Cause Failure Analysis on mechanical non-conformances and use results to make improvements to the site process and inspection systems.
•    Champion the mechanical Integrity element of the site Process Safety Management Process.
•    Lead/mentor a strong Safety Program and actively look for new ways to improve, be a role model, and an active promoter of safe work habits.
•    Participate in the Site Fixed Budget Process to ensure all Maintenance and Mechanical Reliability projects are included.
•    Maintains a qualified Mechanical Reliability staff and administers appropriate policies and procedures. Works jointly with other site leadership to ensure effective employee resource allocation.
•    Ensures Mechanical Reliability measures of performance demonstrate success in achieving the site strategy and objectives.
•    Lead Mechanical Teams efforts to develop and monitor quality system processes.
•    Perform other job duties as assigned.
 

Key Interactions
Internal: All site leaders and team leaders regarding Mechanical Reliability and significant process safety, Mechanical Reliability and Manufacturing issues. All levels of Site Management
External: Vendors and suppliers of outside services. The Site Contractors’ Contact.
 

Notable Working Conditions: Primarily office work, exposed to changing weather conditions, 5% of travel will be required.

 

Education Requirements: BS Degree or equivalent experience 

 

Language Requirements: English

 

Background and Experience:

•    Approximately 10 years of combined Leadership experience in areas of Plant Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational functions.
•    Multi-group supervisory experience in such areas as Maintenance, Operations, Maintenance Engineering, Technical Desired
 

Competencies and Skills:

•    Knowledge and experience in Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance.
•    Good communication skills (oral and written).
•    An understanding of continuous process improvement tools and processes.
•    Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a continuously changing environment.
•    Must be able to work and interface well with all levels in the Site
•    Knowledge of Site processes
•    Interrelationships of various manufacturing services.
•    Familiarity with the Site vision and strategy.
•    Familiarity with the Site and Mechanical Reliability
